Brian had a work emergency and had to head into DC while I was out, so Grandma and Grandpa Pecorino got to do a little unexpected babysitting. Brennan seemed to enjoy his time with his grandparents. We indulged ourselves with a BBQ dinner at Famous Dave's on Saturday and Brennan really enjoyed eating chicken off of my plate! I gave him shreds of chicken and he was eating a lot of it! It was pretty fun to watch. We went to dinner really early (left the house around 5 pm) and that worked perfectly with Brennan's schedule. Gone are the days of late evening dining out, unless there is a babysitter involved!

Portrait Innovations, Round 2
We went back to Portrait Innovations this weekend for 9 month/Easter/Spring photos. The experience wasn't as good as the first time we went. My head wasn't completely in the right place because Brian wasn't with me and I was worried about going there without his help to entertain Brennan while I picked photos, and without having him for a second opinion. He couldn't be there because we were having Verizon Fios installed and it took 7 hours (the guy arrived at 8:30 AM and was still working at 2:30 PM, when I left to take Brennan for his pictures.) The photographer was very nice, but I realized she expected us to buy 10 different poses and I felt like she was rushing me once she realized I was only going to buy 4. I should have just taken a step back and not let her rush me, but I feel like in
the end, I bought 2 poses that I didn't love, so it's a little disappointing. I got the CD with all of the pictures, but the file sizes are small, so you can't do much you with the pictures (you really have to go there to get good high resolution prints.)I am not giving up on Portrait Innovations, but will be much more prepared for next time after this experience. The upside is that I did get some great new pictures of the little guy - hope you enjoy them! I used mousse in his hair to keep it styled for the pictures!

9 Month Stats
Brennan went for his 9 month well baby check up today. He weighed 21 lbs 3 oz (60th percentile) and was 29 3/4 inches tall (90th percentile.) Long and lean seems to be his trend, so I can't complain. He got a Hepatitis B shot and they tested his iron levels, which were fine.
Look at our little "New Yorker" already enjoying pizza... lol... we let him gnaw on the crust, he seemed to enjoy it! This picture shows off his crazy hair quite nicely too! It is getting so long. Our daycare provider occasionally puts it in a hair clip to keep it out of his face, which cracks me up. Brian wants me to cut it, but I'm not ready... I love those little curls in the back and am not going to chop them off yet!

The Weekend Recap
What a beautiful weekend! The weather was great and we had a nice time with my Mom, Dad, Peter, Debby and Ed. Mom, Debby and I took Brennan out shopping for some spring clothes, while the guys stayed back and installed our new storm door. It's so nice to have that old door replaced. When you come to our house now, you can actually open the door like a normal person, instead of having to push it in and turn the handle upwards.
Brennan had some fun playing with Aunt Debby before she and Ed headed into DC. They ran the Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run on Sunday morning. Brennan was spoiled with attention and loved every minute of it. You can see him below doing one of his favorite activities... walking with assistance!

Muscle Man
Ever since my baby shower, when Kerry and Philip bought us "the cage," more commonly known as the Superyard, Brian has been talking about training the baby as a cage fighter. He has wanted to pose Brennan on the workout equipment, and it looks like Brennan got his first workout in today... LOL. His shirt says Muscle Man, so it was quite appropriate. This outfit was also a gift from Aunt Kerry and Uncle Philip (thanks guys!).

Brennan has become quite talkative. I know how much my mom loves to hear his voice, so mom, this one is for you! Can't wait to see you guys tomorrow!
