Wishing spring were here to stay

We've been having a beautiful week here in sunny Virginia! We spent two afternoons at the park, and today, we hung out outside around the neighborhood. I thought the picture below, taken on Monday, was great, since there was still snow on the ground, but it was warm enough to be out in just a sweatshirt. By now, pretty much all the snow has melted, except for a few small piles in the street that were leftover from the plows.

When we arrived at the park on Monday, Brennan went nuts with excitement. In the last couple of months, we had driven by the playground so many times, but couldn't stop to play because of the snow on the ground. When I pulled into the parking lot and he realized we were there to play, he went running out of the car, screaming, "play play."

Temperatures broke 70 yesterday and today, so we have been out in t-shirts! It's been such a nice reprieve from winter. We were back at the park yesterday and Brennan enjoyed playing with his football in the tennis courts. He caught some air while throwing the football overhead. The potty training has continued to go pretty well and this was our first venture out of the house in underwear. We brought the froggy potty with us and he was willing to use it at the park.

We took a walk around the circle in the wagon today. I think Brennan's smile says it all.
