We had a great Christmas and uneventful New Year's celebration this year. This was the first year that we stayed home on Christmas day, which meant it was our first Christmas being in town for our church's Christmas Eve service. Tyler made his stage debut as baby Jesus and thankfully didn't get dropped.
When we got home from the Christmas Eve service, Brennan make sure to sprinkle the reindeer dust outside to make sure Santa knew to stop at our house.
Here is T-man looking adorable his cap after church.
The boys wore matching Christmas pajamas, but Brennan wouldn't cooperate to get a photo with Tyler. Christmas morning was a lot of fun, although I had to wake Brennan up to get things going at 7:45! Brennan enjoyed opening his stocking and moved to the gifts under the tree with excitement. We took our time opening gifts, Brennan stopped to play with each new toy as he opened it. We were in no rush, since we were just planning to be home until night, when we would head to NY.
Here is Tyler playing with a new ball from his stocking.
After a relaxing day at home, we drove to NY on Christmas night, which was a great decision - the roads were empty! I hardly took any photos while in NY, but we got see a ton of family! Our families spoiled the boys big time and now I have to try to figure out how to integrate all the new stuff into our house! Most of my aunts, uncles and cousins got to meet Tyler and we got some nice time in visiting my grandparents. Below is a four generation photo with my mom's parents that I've wanted to get since Brennan was a baby. Brennan enjoyed playing with Stella, Kerry and Philip's dog, and we got to wish Aunt Debby and Joe a big congrats on getting engaged! We were also able to keep our holiday tradition of having a play date with Avery and Olivia Dubin. We drove back on New Year's Eve night, pulling in just at midnight - also a great decision as the roads were even emptier than they were on Christmas! Happy New Year everyone!
