The boys wanted to go out and play right away, so we bundled up and were out before 8 in the morning. The boys explored while Brian and I shoveled. Tyler got stuck in the high snow and was asking for help in the photo below. Zelda wasn't a fan of snow that pretty much went up to her belly, but later in the day, she got quite a workout trying to fetch snow balls that I threw across the backyard.
Brennan of course was happy to jump into the biggest snow pile he could find.
After over an hour of shoveling, our driveway and walkway looked pretty good. We actually had our neighbor's snow blower in our garage (they are in Texas for a couple of years), but forgot to get gas, so we got a work-out instead. When our other neighbor learned we had a snow blower that just needed gas, he came right over with a gas can! At least he was able to use it to clear his driveway and some of the street between our houses!
The forecast says that we may get more snow overnight... time will tell! It's also supposed to be 40 degrees tomorrow, so things should start melting. School is already canceled, so Brennan is in for one LONG weekend!
